How to convert JPG to PDF

  1. Add your JPG files, or drop them onto the page.
  2. Drag them into the order you want the pages to appear.
  3. Choose a page size (A4, Letter or fit to image) and a margin (none or small).
  4. Create the PDF and download it.

When a form wants a PDF and you have photos

Plenty of upload forms accept PDF only: council applications, job portals, university document uploads, insurance claims. If you have photographed a passport page, a driving licence or a set of receipts on your phone, you have JPGs. This turns them into one tidy PDF, one photo per page.

These are exactly the images you should not hand over lightly. Nothing here is uploaded: the photos are read and placed into the PDF on your own device.

A4, Letter or fit to image?

  • A4 is the standard paper size in the UK and most of the world. Choose it if the PDF might be printed, or if the form asks for A4.
  • Letter is the US paper size, a little wider and shorter than A4. Use it only if a US organisation asks.
  • Fit to image makes each page the same shape as the photo, with no white borders. Good for viewing on screen.

A small margin adds a white border so nothing is cut off when printed. Choose none for edge-to-edge scans.

Getting a sharp, sensible file size

Photo the document flat, in good light, filling the frame. A crisp photo gives a readable PDF. If the PDF comes out too large for an upload limit, shrink the photos first with Compress image, then convert. If your photos are PNG, WebP or iPhone HEIC files, Image to PDF and HEIC to PDF handle those. To add more pages to an existing PDF, make the new pages here and join them with Merge PDF.

How do I put several JPGs into one PDF?

Will converting JPG to PDF reduce the quality?

The photos are placed into the PDF as they are, so they look the same as the originals.

Can I convert JPG to PDF on an iPhone?

Yes. Pick the photos from your library or Files in the browser. If your iPhone saves photos as HEIC, use HEIC to PDF instead.

Is there a watermark on the PDF?

No. There are no watermarks, sign-ups or limits.
