Most of us have lost ten minutes to a job that should take ten seconds. A form wants a JPG and your phone saved a HEIC. A PDF is two pages too long. You need to take VAT off a total and can’t remember whether it’s 0.8 or divide by 1.2 (it’s divide by 1.2).
The sites that turn up in search tend to make that harder: a cookie banner, a sign-up wall, an upload queue, a fake progress bar and three adverts that shove the button around the page. Files & Calcs is the opposite. You land, you do the job, you leave.
How it’s different
- Your files stay on your device. Every tool runs inside your web browser. Photos, PDFs and spreadsheets are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
- No sign-up, no watermark, no daily limit. Free means free.
- No pop-ups. There’s at most one small ad for our own products, below your result, and it never moves the page.
- No tracking cookies. We count visits in a way that doesn’t need cookies or store your IP address. How we count visits.
- Built for phones first. Most people who need a quick conversion are holding a phone.

There are 43 tools today across calculators, images, PDFs and text and data. We add tools when people ask for them, so if something’s missing, tell us.

Files & Calcs is built and run in the United Kingdom, which is why the calculators use UK VAT rates, the invoice generator has a sort code field and the character counter knows the UCAS limit.
